So I tried to make some witted title about Eric being short and also being in a short film, but it didn’t pan out.
Anywho, in true Eric blabbery fashion
, here’s a long post about his upcoming film which has generated a lot of positive buzz. To be honest, the flick doesn’t sound that bad. We just might have to downlo… go out and see it. Hopefully Woobie makes a cameo! Split in two just for you!
Helllllllllllllllo all! I have some exciting news to share with you guys. A few months back, I was lucky enough to film a role in a short film, “The Mandala Maker” written and directed by Sam Borowski. Working alongside actors such as Daniel Roebuck (“Lost,” “Matlock,” “Halloween,” “Nash Bridges”), Tony Award winner and Emmy nominee Terrence Mann, Yangzom Brauen (“Aeon Flux”) and more, it’s safe to say that I was quite honored to be sharing the screen with such an esteemed cast.
And although he would KILL me if he knew I was doing this, I have to give a shout out to the uber talented writer/director, Sam Borowski. Scope him out and show him some love on imdb, hit him up on myspace, what have you…but jump on this guy’s bandwagon now before he blows up. He has a few major projects in the pipeline and in a few years, I’m going to be telling people “a few years back, I actually got to work with Sam Borowski.” Haha. I’m telling you…big things are on the horizon for him.
So, in any event, the film is starting to get some exciting press and yours truly got a very nice shout out in one of the articles (SEE BELOW THE DOTTED LINE…my section is towards the end of the article). The NY Daily News and The Asbury Park Press have articles in the works too, and there has been some amazing internet coverage. Yada City online wrote:
(“Hello world ….the staff of yadacity wants to know, do you have the patience to create a Tibetan Mandalas? Maybe you should find it – it has healing powers so says the lead character in the new, indie short THE MANDALA MAKER, by Sam Borowski.
The flick, which is getting that “Slumdog buzz,” tells the story of Naomi, a woman who attempts to heal herself from a past tragedy by painting Tibetan Mandalas. FYI, those are circular designs that psychologists – including the legendary Carl Jung- say have ‘healing’ powers. This opens a whole new world of possibilities for Naomi.
THE MANDALA MAKER is on the fast track to get a nod, in the live-action short category, for the 2010 Academy-Award. The movie was shot on the highest form of High Def ever created —The Red One HD Camera.”)
And here is that article that mentions me! Thanks as always for all of your support as I move forward in the next stages of my career.
Source of course!

Horrible title, I know, but it’s really early in the morning so go back to your coffee. That being said, if you read the shame of a title you’d see that Steve has been too busy to update, but he found a spare minute (roll over minutes?) to actually send out an update.
I don’t even remember the last time there was a Steven update, but I do know that he has A LOT of fans so to the post!! Steven explains his absense and exciting ‘projects’ that he has coming up. He’s going to Iraq for work!! How cool is that!! I say pretty darn-tootin cool because he’s promising a bundle of updates on his latest adventure over-seas and that’s awesome for both us & you. He explains the rest below, so here ya go!
Iraq, My Next Big Adventure
Hello everyone…
Sorry I have been MIA from myspace and facebook for a while, Holidays and recent workload have just had me swamped! So I wanted to give everyone an update on what has been going on with me lately. I have had a lot of great opportunites open up for me at work lately which are going to make for some exciting new adventures. My big news is that I am going to be traveling to Kuwait and then Iraq for work. Unfortuneatly, due to security reasons I can’t reveal exactly when I am travling or where, but I can say I am leaving pretty soon.
I am going over with the company I work for which is a contracter for the military and I will be working on military installations. Again, I can’t say exactly what I am doing, but I will say that my work is all part of a larger effort to begin bringing our troops home and letting the Iraq peole run their own country! I am going to be in country for about a month as well as in Kuwait before and after my Iraq visit.
HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS, I am planning on bringing a digital camera and doing weekly picture posts as well as a video blog of my experience over there. I am going to blog about and video as much of my experiences as possible so that everyone can see a little bit into the daily life of a contractor working in Iraq. I also am hoping to get some time with the men and women of our armed forces that are stationed in Iraq, ask them some questions and have them send some messages back to the USA. I am going to be very busy between now and my deployment so I won’t have much time to be online, however I hope that everyone will check back on my site and look out for my pictures and video blogs.
I will do my best to check mail but please keep in mind that my interenet access is going to be very limited as well as my time. As most know I am not a very political person, however I am filled with pride and joy to know that I am playing a very small role in helping to GET OUR TROOPS HOME!
Keep checking back for updates!!
