YAAAY!! How ready are y’all for another amazing summer of Big Brother? It kickstarts June 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Global!

I know I am super excited, being a self proclaimed Big Brother groupie. I have had the opportunity to play the game twice, met my hubby on a season and THEN WON the next season! Dream come true, right!

Well that’s what I LOOOOVE about Big Brother – the excitement, the competitions, the mind games, the drama, the social experiment that has turned into a phenomenon. I’m already on the edge of my seat waiting to spy on the houseguests and to see who will be able to outplay, out-compete and out-think the other houseguests.

I’m already dying & if you’re like me, you have your predictions about the houseguests. You want to know how they will play and about who they REALLY are. I think this is the reason why I love reality TV so much, and especially Big Brother because it’s so unpredictable, exciting and as Julie Chen famously tells us, we can always “Expect the UnEXPECTED.”

So let’s chat on the 20th, you can ask anything! After-all, who better to ask then a fan-turned-Big-Brother-winner-turned-groupie! Right!! Let’s talk cast selections, twist predictions, houseguest showmance predictions and maybe I have a secret or two to share with you….  Guess you’ll have to find out when we chat!

Athena

Athena was in the Team Challenge because she sat back last week (+5). During the challenge she worked with Rachel, but Rachel was forced to basically drag her around (-3). Athena wanted to prove herself so begged to go on to the next stage, and they allowed her (+5). But once again she was pushed by Marty and Darnell (-3). She attempted to defend herself in The War Room, but it was a difficult sell.

This Week: 4

Charles

Charles goes into the Team Challenge (+5), and he does find his location on his own (+2). When it came to going from 6 to 3,  he was adamant that he wanted to be in go on, and when they had the three, and it turned out it was 4, he decided that he would back down and act like the hero for doing so (-5). With me being a hero with no one knowing, is the most honourable thing ever. To me a teacher is a bigger hero then a cop!

This Week: 2

Darnell

Darnell competed in the team challenge (+5) where he was able to find his location easily and without knowing the local language (+3). When he arrived at his location and he was offered a temptation and he turned it down (+10). He then went onto the next stage (+5) where he was a beast at pushing the car (+3). He was then voted to go onto The Hero’s Challenge (+5), unfortunately he did not complete the task, but he hit himself in the head, took a second to recoup, and kept on going! He was so close to finishing the challenge, and he only have half the time he should have had!(+5)

David

David just sat back this week…didn’t really impress me!  Kind of boring!

Lydia

Lydia stayed back this week, but she did prove herself by stating that she was proud that Shaun admitted to taking the money. Lydia truly does believe in if you are going to be greedy, then own up to it! (+3)

Marty

Marty went on the Team Challenge (+5) and he also decided to sit in the helicopter with Patty to help her with her fear (+5). Marty then went onto the next stage of the team challenge (+5). He pushed the vehicle like a total beast! (+3) He did not go onto the Hero’s Challenge, but he didn’t seem too disappointed in it. Marty also revealed a lot about his childhood, and how his mother struggled to take care of him, and how she recently passed away. (+5)

Patty

Patty competed in the team challenge (+5). She went up in the helicopter and faced her fear once again (+5). She had Marty come with her for comfort, but definitely didn’t need him, given that she was out of the helicopter to tell Rachel and Athena where to go. (+10)

Rachel

Rachel competed in the team challenge (+5) and carried Athena during the challenge (+5). Other than that she just spent the time being pissed that someone took the offer.

Shaun

Shaun did not compete but rather was offered a temptation and decided to take the offer (-10). He denied it at first but he did own up to taking the money. (+5) His reasons did make sense given that he only makes $100 a night when he wrestles.  (+3) But he is able to see through people, and how some people are trying to act like a hero in hopes that the viewers will favour them when it comes to the end of the show. (+3)

This Week’s Hero is Darnell, but the overall Hero easily taking the lead is Patty

So it’s time for the team challenge. Six can compete and the team challenge is communication, navigation, teamwork. Shaun really wants to go and so does Marty…someone hit them for me! The three that were not in the team challenge last week have to go. Patty asks that Marty goes on the team challenge as well. The four of them go off and decide who they want, and chose Rachel and Charles. So the six going are Athena, Darnell, Patty, Marty, Rachel and Charles. Shaun is super pissed that Charles is going and not him.

Team Challenge

The four of the six are to search for a location based on photos. Two go together, the other two searches individually. The other two go up in the helicopter and guide the others to the meeting spot. Patty is suggested to go into the helicopter because of her fear. She is nervous but does it, she asks for Marty to come with her for a little extra help. The crazy thing is where they are sitting there is no door beside them, and Patty is on the outside seat…I’d be terrified.

Athena and Rachel go off together, and Charles and Darnell will search alone. The city is completely insane, and difficult to navigate. When Darnell arrives at his location The Rock is there waiting for him. He offers Darnell $35,000 to send the helicopter on a wild goose chase for 10min. He turns it down. Darnell then heads off to the meeting spot. Rachel is annoyed because she feels like she is just dragging Athena along, understandable given that Rachel knows the language and Athena doesn’t. Charles eventually locates his spot, and starts on his way to the meeting location.

Temptation

Lydia, David and Shaun are sitting at the penthouse…can only mean one thing…a phone call from The Rock is on its way. Shaun answers the phone and is offered $35,000 and told that it will make the team challenge harder, he doesn’t tell him how. Shaun does choses to take the temptation.

Back to the Challenge

Because Shaun took the temptation Rachel and Athena now must travel to a second location in order to receive their communication device. Charles and Darnell are at the meeting location. Marty and Patty decide to try and find Rachel and Athena to guide them to the location. Patty is half way out the helicopter doing it. They get to the meeting spot and have 8minutes left. Rachel and Athena tell them about the temptation, and Darnell tells them about his temptation. Charles thinks that Rachel and Athena were the ones to take the offer.

They have to get down to three; they go with Darnell, Marty and Athena. Well they come up with it after Charles backing down and acting like a hero…seriously I hate him! The three of them have to take The Rock’s Landrover and push it to the end spot. Athena choses to steer and Marty and Darnell push the vehicle. They do pretty good given how difficult it is to do the task but the time runs out with only four blocks to go, meaning that had Shaun not taken the money, they would have completed the challenge.

The Penthouse

They are talking about the challenge, and “someone” taking the money.  Shaun eventually goes and tells them that he took it after saying he didn’t take it. He tells them, they all seem to be calmer. Lydia respects him for confessing it. Lydia is staying true to her views on stating your action, and taking blame for it.  Rachel is pissed with good reason. Shaun goes and tells them that part of the reason he took it was because of their stereotyping. I wonder if they will put him into the Team Challenge just to keep him away from the Penthouse.

The War Room

They talk about Shaun taking the money forever!!! They also talk about Charles’ childhood and they start to cry a little. I honestly found the War Room this time kind of boring. Darnell talks about his confidence in himself. Athena talks about how it is difficult to be a woman on the show, and how she may not get another chance to compete for it. Marty talks about how he is willing to die in order to complete the challenge. They vote and send Darnell on to the Hero’s Challenge. (I really wish they revealed the vote count)

The Hero’s Challenge

He arrives at a dry dock, but it will soon fill with water…there is a box containing the $50,000 and he on the outside is how to get it out! He only gets 10minutes to complete the challenge. First he has to run and find a sledge hammer. He had to run to the very last dock and find the sledge hammer. When he gets back he knocks all the sides off in a short time, especially considering the place is quickly filling with water. Next he needs a wrench, Darnell figures he’s going to need to use some force to get the bolts off, but winds up hitting himself in the head with it, and leaves a visible bump. He takes a second to recover, but gets back at it. Unfortunately it was no use, and the time runs out on him and he lost the Hero’s Challenge.

So because of Shaun taking the $35,000 the Red Cross didn’t receive $10,000 and Darnell lost the Hero’s Challenge.

The second twist will allow BIG BROTHER viewers to play a crucial role in the game by casting votes for the Houseguest they feel is playing the best game.  The Houseguest who receives the most votes will be anointed that week’s, “Big Brother MVP.”  The full scope of the MVP’s secret power will be revealed during the season premiere.

America will start casting their votes for this season’s first “Big Brother MVP” before the Houseguests even enter the game, beginning with a pre-premiere vote starting Thursday, June 20, following CBS’s cast announcement of the new Houseguests.  Fans can visit http://www.cbs.com/bbmvp to cast their vote.
