BBUK: 24hr Live Stream Is BACK!

This is so exciting! Wonder if they accept Canadian funds :P The live feed is being brought back for one last time, and you can watch it online for a fee. C4 is also giving away 1,000 free subscriptions, details below! Source

Channel 4 is to bring back 24 hour live streaming from the Big Brother House for its final series which starts on June 9th. The move will give viewers the ultimate reality experience, literally enabling them to follow the action in the house as it happens, around the clock.

Live streaming of the house will be accessible via the official Big Brother site www.channel4.com/bigbrother. Viewers will pay a small fee to access the footage; 49p for a day pass; £1.99 for a week pass; and £14.99 for a season pass for the whole 13 week series. The money generated through the sales of passes will cover some of the costs it takes to run the streaming.

As a nod to the fans who have watched and supported the show for the past ten years Channel 4 is giving away 1000 free season passes for the feed. The giveaway will begin at 7pm on Tuesday 8th June, the day before the show launches live on Channel 4. Fans will need to register on the official Big Brother website (channel4.com./bigbrother) at this time and if they are one of the first 1000 registrations received they will be given a free pass.

BBUK: An Interview With Davina

C4 released their press packages this morning, one of which featured an interview with Davina. Reporter Benjie Goodhart asks her all the important questions about her time on Big Brother as well as asks her some questions from the public.

The last Big Brother is upon us!  Going back ten years, what do you remember about the opening night of the first ever Big Brother?

I’ve been doing a lot of reminiscing and looking back – I’m full of nostalgia this year, looking back at everything that’s happened in all the past series.  And I’ve been talking about series one.  I don’t remember a huge amount.  The first episode of the first ever series, I was just trying to do what the producer wanted me to do.  The housemates had already been in the house for four days, so there was a little bit of a buzz about it, but I was too busy being petrified, I think, to really think about anything other than putting one foot in front of the other and trying not to swear.

BBUK: Launch Date Confirmed & First Twist Announced!

Oh this is sooo exciting. The launch date for the final season of Big Brother is June 9th (as we reported earlier this month).

Furthermore,  we reported a rumor yesterday about the 100 hopefuls trying to fill 16 spots… that’s also looking to be true (in some capacity)!  Directly from Channel4.com regarding launch night:

Davina McCall will come direct from the Big Brother house to usher in one last group of Big Brother Housemates.

However, in a twist to the usual format there will be more hopefuls than the house can hold. In front of the cameras and the baying crowd each of the hopefuls will find out their fate. Will Big Brother select them to spend a summer in front of the cameras or will they have to head home with their bag still packed?

The new Housemates will be selected one by one and allowed into the Big Brother house to begin what could be the most exciting and unpredictable few weeks of their lives. Watch those first awkward moments unfold as they get to know each other and await the start of Big Brother’s games.

BBUK: 100 Hopefuls To Fight For 16 Spots On Launch Night?

The Daily Star is reporting that 100 wannabe house mates will compete in a special task for the 16 house mate spots on the last ever series.  While the task is currently a secret, the first 16 to complete it, will enter the house.

1Imagine if this is true? I don’t know what to think. It would be the biggest launch, but would it be the best?  Thoughts? Daily Star

In the past TV bosses have selected the contestants for the show in advance. But for the last ever BB, host Davina McCall, 42, will gather 100 candidates at Elstree studios in Hertfordshire. All will have passed medical, police and psychological tests and been told they might become housemates.

When they are all brought together, Davina will tell them they face a special task. The challenge itself will be kept under wraps until launch night next month. However, the first 16 applicants to pass the test will win a place in the BB house and the rest will be sent packing.

Last night our BB mole said: “This is the biggest stunt that producers have ever pulled off. “Bosses have unearthed what they think are 100 potentially good housemates. But none of them has got a guaranteed place on the show. It’s going to be a tough battle.”

Last night a spokesman for the show would only say: “This may be the end but there are still a few more surprises in store.”

Big Brother 11, due to start next month, will be the longest-ever series staged, lasting just over 13 weeks.

BBUK: The EYE Has Been Revealed!

Over the last decade, the Big Brother Eye has become one of the most familiar and iconic emblems of any TV show. With the final series on Channel 4 due to start in a matter of weeks the last Big Brother Eye has, at last, been revealed to eagerly awaiting fans.

Made up of hundreds of brightly coloured flowers the Big Brother 11 Eye is a vibrant floral tribute marking the end of Big Brother and the eleven years of entertainment the show has brought its millions of fans over the summer months.

This tribute is echoed in the start of the new trailer for the series which depicts the final farewell of the Big Brother Diary Room chair. But in true Big Brother style things do not remain sombre for long.

On Monday night, directly following Davina McCall’s new show, The Million Pound Drop Live, on Channel 4 viewers will see the trail on TV for the first time.

The trailer shows a sombre funeral presided over by voice of Big Brother Marcus Bentley, and attended by former Housemates loved and loathed, as they bid fond farewell to the show that made them household names. But, as the diary room chair is lowered into the ground the scene erupts into a colourful mardi gras as the true nature of the show is celebrated with a joyful explosion of confetti, carnival music and dancing.

Offering a glimpse of what they can expect from the final series the trail communicates to fans that although this may be the end there are still a few more surprises in store.

David Williams, Commissioning Editor for Big Brother at Channel 4 said

“Yes the series is ending and yes we wanted to mark that but we also wanted to show viewers that Big Brother is essentially an incredible entertainment show and there are plans afoot to ensure that a carnival atmosphere of fun and enjoyment will be at the forefront for what we hope will be a lively final series. “

BBUK: ‘Jacob’ Reveals More BB11 Secrets

As June inches closer, the rumors regarding the final series of Big Brother in the UK are growing on an hourly basis. Now, noted insider, Jacob has assumably returned to InsideBigBrother to share his inside knowledge.

Jacob has been dead on with his information in the past but there has also been the fair share of Jacob impersonators… but we have a feeling this is the ‘real’ Jacob, especially with C4 airing the longer teaser this evening.

Here’s what Jacob had to say… Thoughts? Real information or someone clowning around?

Hello, I’m back this year. I’m the REAL Jacob who gave you all the correct house details last year. Now here is what I know about BB11:

- Show launches on Wednesday 9th June at 9pm.
- There is NO merry-go-round in the garden.
- There is NO carnival/funfair theme which has been speculated.
- There is just one bedroom this year and the wall colour is green.
- Two of the housemates will be linked in someway but won’t know that. This link is VITAL to the theme of the series.
- NO former housemates will go into the house at all in the series. But they will be there for the final.
- Remarkable Television asked Channel 4 to increase E4 feed by 3-4 hours during the daytime but they only compromised for 1.
- There will be a ‘mole’ housemate who will work for the public. It’s a bit like the America Player’s twist from the US series.
- There will be NO couples, NO ex boyfriends/girlfriends and genuinely NO contact with the outside world.
- Shirley Jones is the executive producer. Phil Edgar Jones is creative director. Daniel Marlow will be working as one of the series editors.
- The garden is bigger than BB10’s but not as big as BB3.

BBUK: Longer Teaser Revealed!

C4 released the longer advert video today. Davina also tweeted that the eye has been released but no one has been able to recover it yet. Maybe she fell into the rumors but it’s unclear as of now. We’ll wait until midnight to see if it’s released!

BB:UK – First Advert Teaser, First Aerial Pics & More!

Ahh yes!  A fair bit of news has been released since we last spoke! C4 has confirmed that BBLB and BBBM will be returning for the final season. Emma Willis will be co-hosting with George Lamb. And most recently, the first advert teaser aired today. It’s short, as usual, but very interesting.

But how does that fit into the aerial shots that were printed in the paper? No one knows for sure but share your ideas with us below! Fans are speculating that we will get a glimpse of the eye and/or see a run of the full advert sometime midweek.
