Today Julie and the ladies of The Talk recieved some good news – they’re renewed for a second season!!

CBS has renewed the daytime chat-fest The Talk for another season.

The network announced the pickup Wednesday after several strong week’s of ratings. The morning talker is averaging 2.2 million viewers since it premiered last fall.

The show — an answer to ABC’s long-running The View — is hosted by CBS News’ Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini. Marissa Jaret Winokur left the show after only a few months.

“After only a few months on the air, The Talk has delivered creative and ratings growth and established a strong profile in daytime,” Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment, said in a statement. “The co-hosts have clicked together, the topics have connected with the audience and the show has added a new dimension to our top-rated daytime line-up.  We’re excited about its current success and the potential to grow and evolve ‘The Talk’ even further.”

Added David Stapf, President of CBS Television Studios: “We’re proud that The Talk has emerged as a unique player in the daytime arena. The goal was always to create a show that offered different perspectives to issues facing families.  The show’s success is largely due to our hosts’ chemistry and we’re thrilled that the topics we are addressing are resonating with audiences.”

Only four years? Does that also include the tax evasion charge (I think he admitted to that, too) Enjoy the big house, Baller.  (snickers)

“Big Brother” winner Adam Jasinski has been sentenced to 4 years in federal prison for masterminding a prescription drug ring … which he funded with the prize money from the show.

As we previously reported, Jasinski was busted in a sting operation in 2009 — when he tried to sell 2,000 oxycodone pills to a government informant.

Jasinski had pleaded guilty to drug possession with attempt to distribute … and failure to file a tax return in 2008 — the year he won his $500,000 prize on the show.

Four months ago, Adam Jasinski pleaded guilty to his drug ring charges. Now his partner in crime and his fellow Big Brother 9 co-star also plead guilty. TMZ reports…

Big Brother 9″ star Matthew McDonald just pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute Oxycodone in connection with the giant drug ring allegedly founded by his BB co-star … and now he faces 20 years in prison.

As we first reported, McDonald was arrested last April — and indicted for allegedly participating in a drug ring masterminded by Season 9 winner Adam Jasinski … who cops claim used his $500,000 winnings to finance the entire operation.

McDonald’s sentencing is scheduled for April. He will remain in custody until then.

But that’s not all — you may recall, McDonald has another case pending … in which the ex-reality star is accused of beating the crap out of his pregnant GF. No es bueno.

Sorry I never posted about the whole scandal but Brendon is trying to make up with Rachel by buying her a freakin star. TMZ has all the details…

Nothing says “I’m sorry” like naming a celestial object after the girl you cyber-cheated on — which is why bawl-my-eyes-out Brendon from “Big Brother” just threw down $109 to christen the star, “Rachel Reilly.”

According to the International Star Registry, Brendon got the appropriate paperwork in order this week — certifying the star’s new name — and even purchased a $70 bracelet with the star’s coordinates to sweeten the deal.

It’s not his first attempt at an apology  — as we previously reported, Brendon posted an “I’m sorry” video online recently … after his ex-GF and “Big Bro” co-star Rachel allegedly found out he sent pics of his schlong to a girl he met online.

No worries though — if the video didn’t cut it, a paper star certificate and bracelet definitely will do the trick.  Right?

Since Rachel was so quick to allegedly get back with Brendon, many BB fans have speculated that this was all to generate publicity for a BB13: All-Stars campaign. Thoughts?

Well, I’ll be! A Big Brother contestant does right.

Dan Gheesling, Big Brother 10′s winner, proposed to his girlfriend (NOT the one from the show) Chelsea at a high school football game (Dan’s the coach, remember!) AND! She said yes!

Dan Gheesling — the guy who won “Big Brother 10” — scored another reality victory this weekend when he popped the question to his GF during a high school football game … and she said yes!

It all went down Saturday night, when Dan — an asst. coach at St. Mary’s Prep in Michigan — orchestrated a little halftime surprise for his girlfriend Chelsea … who works with the cheerleading squad.

After shooing away the team mascot, Dan — who scored the $500,000 grand prize on “BB10″ — dropped to one knee and whipped out a 2-carat diamond ring in front of a massive crowd.

We’re told D&C are planning to tie the knot next summer.

But the best part — St. Mary’s won the game 14-7.

Another Big Brother star has landed them self in the backseat of a police car.

Steven Daigle from Big Brother 10, who recently turned to gay porn, was arrested for assaulting his (ex)boyfriend and fellow porn star at a club in West Hollywood on Monday evening. He is currently in jail, with a $20,000 bond. Source (NSFW)

The Big Brother contestant turned gay porn star was arrested late Monday night outside popular gay bar The Abbey.

The West Hollywood Sheriff has confimed to The Sword that Steven Daigle (seen left in a photo from last night) was arrested and taken into custody following an incident that left a bloody mess on the streets of WeHo (see pic below).

It was supposed to be a happy night for Daigle, as he and friends had gathered earlier to watch his appearance on the Real Housewives Of Atlanta. According to a source, however, things turned ugly when Daigle’s rumored boyfriend (though now I presume he’s an ex-boyfriend?) and fellow porn star Trent Locke approached Daigle at The Abbey and instigated a fight. My source also tells me that Locke’s “head was cut open,” and that Daigle was quickly taken away by the police. Locke was not arrested.

As of this posting, Daigle was being treated at a local hospital for minor injuries, after which he’ll return to the West Hollywood station for processing.

TMZ has reported that Adam has plead guilty to the drug charges, and faces up to 20 years (plus a million dollar fine) in prison. Additionally, Adam also admitted to not pay taxes on his Big Brother money, which could get him an additional year in jail.

“Big Brother” winner Adam Jasinski just pled guilty in Massachusetts federal court for possession of oxy pills with intent to distribute — and get this, the feds are also nailing the guy for dodging taxes in the process.

As we previously reported, the DEA arrested Jasinski last year for trying to deal 2,000 pills of oxycodone to a government informant — and after his hearing today, dude faces 20 years in prison plus a $1,000,000 fine.

But that’s not it … the ex-reality star also fessed up to not paying taxes on his $500,000 in “BB” winnings — which he allegedly used to back his drug business — and could face another year in prison as a result.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 11 next year. Big Brother will be watching.
