We probably won’t be turning into the radio show either since we’ll be watching the Harper’s Island on Thursday heh.

Well I have been ever so patiently awaiting the arrival of BB11, see the new house, houseguests etc. If you read my first blog I said I wasn’t too happy with the houseguests, mainly because of the stereotypical gay guy that they brought back on. I have to say that I was probably too judgemental on the show and who they picked, I am sure it is a tough job (Robyn and Bonnie, I so love you both) finding new, different and interesting people that will cause enough drama to make the show worth watching.

Anyway, I am shocked to find out what is going to happen this Thursday night, I can’t even think of a better way to describe it other then shocked, any other words would probably give away the secret. I don’t wanna say too much and give away the show or my sources, so this is all I can give you. If you wanna hear me describe how shocked I am before the show airs, check me out on Real Player (exact time is still pending), I am doing an interview with Chelsia on Thursday.

Then if you wanna hear my thoughts on the show and listen to a very special caller with first hand knowlege of what you just saw in episode 1 then listen to me on BBAD Blog Talk Radio at 8pm Central, immediately following the premier of the BB11. I definately have some opinions on it all…

For fuck sake! We actually LIKE Steve, that’s the kicker. He let out a blog this morning complaining that he hates the house guests, and that Jessica (S8), Brian (S10) and Shelia from (S9) are all missing, and have disappeared. He also said that ‘recycling’ house guests is stupid… but then complained about not being asked to be apart of this. Okay. Buddy, you were PROBABLY going to be asked to do an All-Stars 2, but your piss-poor attitude probably shot that to hell.

This just a short blog, I only have a minute I have to say I am not impressed with the houseguests.

Hopefully they will be more interesting in person then they are in their Bio’s. Also Robyn, I am so dissapointed that you brought back another sterotypical Bitchy Fag, I really thought BB had moved past that, I think everyone is really, really over that character! Mystery Houseguest, LOL… Recycled theme means Recycled Housguest, how boring is that!!

And by the way, why is it that my friends such as Jessica BB8, Sheila BB9 and Brian BB10 have mysteriously dissappeared??? If you guys read this contact me I am worried, it is as if you have taken somewhere that has no communication with the outside world????

I was hoping BB would make it long enough to have an another All Stars that I could possibly try out for, but with this lack of originality and brining back those same boring personality types, this will surely be the last year…

Didn’t he say he was only going to go for a month or so? Well, it’s been quite a few months later and he’s got another interesting story to tell. It’s a bit long so I’ll have to cut it in two. Here ya go!

So you probably know from my status updates that I am currently in Iraq for work. Tonight I had a very sobering reality check that I thought I would share.

Tonight my coworkers and I had a dinner with some high ranking Iraqi Air Force military. The Iraqi airmen are guys that we work with on a regular basis here and I have gotten to know on a personal level, they are incredible men that have faced many hardships and tragedies over the years but are incredibly friendly, hospitable and have some amazing stories that they like to share. During our traditional Iraqi dinner the topic of American TV shows came up and it turns out that they love many of our programs specifically Reality TV. One of my team members thought it would be fun to tell them that I had been on the show Big Brother and began to tell the story when our Team Lead quickly changed the subject and basically stoped the story from being told. I understood why, if the Iraqi men did any research they might find out that I am gay which is completely not acceptable in the culture here. Again, I completely understood this and was a bit relieved that the whole subject wasn’t discussed. What had not crossed my mind was the potential for disaster if the facts of my personal life were revealed in this environment. Here is why:

Source

There is a new agreement that has just gone into affect here in this country that deals with civilian contractors working for the US military. Basically under the agreement any civilian here is completely subject to Iraqi law while in the country, even while residing on a US military installation. Although I don’t know the exact wording of the law, basically it is illegal to be a homosexual in this country and any accused can be jailed and from what I understand even executed for this “crime”. Had it gotten out to the Iraqi gentlemen that we work with, if they choose to, they could have the Iraqi police come into the US military installation and arrest me. I would like to believe that these men have become my friend and would never do this to me, but I still have to sit back and wonder what if. Suppose they have strong feelings against homosexuality and decided it was best to report me, I could potentially be locked up here and prosecuted for simply being who I am, even if I was never actually caught in a homosexual act (not that I am getting any here).

This makes me so thankful that I live in a country where I am free to be exactly who I wanna be. We are such a lucky people and we should never take for granite the freedoms that we have. Even though we are still fighting for some equal rights, such as marriage, we have to all realize that we could have it so much worse. I would ask that everyone reading this please take a few minutes and find a way to express your gratitude to our politicians that continue to pursue equality for everyone in our country regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation. In addition, find a way to thank the military personal that put their life on the line to uphold our freedoms and way of life. As Americans we are truley a blessed people and need to remember this everyday of our lives.

Thanks for taking the time to read this..

Steven

Since a few people have put out mulitple updates while we were offline, I’ve decided to combine them, with the newest showing on the front and the older update posted afterwards. Woot! So Renny posted two updates, one complaining about how dull television is seeing the same people over and over again. The second one is that she’s going to be marrying a couple for the 97th time. I know that doesn’t sound right but she hasn’t married them 96 times, she’s just going to marry them for the 97th! Capiche? Capiche!

Whats up , I am so tired of the same old, same old crapola on the tube. Could we see a new face please! I’ll have some chutzpah and step up to the plate God how many years has it been? I’ll answer the question, speaking on your behalf and mine as well, TOO LONG!!!!!!!!!!! America wants to laugh again, like they use to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dahhhh! All of America is bored out of their minds! I would not say it if a myriad of yaw’ll didn’t tell me so! I see why so many have turned to reality shows, their looking for some kicks! OMG wake up and smell the cappucino! Yeah, I’ll work it , try this, sequined hot pants, fushia, royal blue and black with a Black sequined top, black stockings with a diagonal design in them, stiletto shoes and a boa dancing and bustin loose to Bobby Darin’s Mack the Knife, now that’s entertainment! OUVEY, Love, Renny
P.S. You know the monologue would be FUNNY as HELL! I could even see my husband being my sidekick, he’s hilarious and everyone loves his accent! How about some imitations, skits and Talking to The In Crowd !!!!!!!!!!! You always need a good band to back you, no kidding!

It sounds like he’s having a very interesting time – to say the least. He talks about his ‘first day on the job’, AND how he was going to laundry when his area thought they were under attack. Yes. Under. Freakin’. Attack. Like a… sound the alarm cuz shit is about to hit the fan, hope you’re wearing clean undies kind of attack. It turned out to be a ‘false alarm’ (I say that loosely because it alarmed Steve quite a bit) but you can read ALL about it below! Plus, Steven added a BUNCH more pictures so head over to his myspace to check them out! Cut in two, just for you!

A Sunday Morning In Iraq

Well, I had some time and wanted to send out an update on how my week was. This past week in Iraq has shown me the widest range of emotions possible. I started my week flying on an Iraqi C130 wearing body armor and completely unkaware of what to expect. If you don’t know a C130 is large military cargo plane that has fold down seats in the back, there is no beverage service and hearing protection is required! Upon arriving at our new destination we were assigned a tent and settled in for a week of long hours and dusty windy days.

The accomidations were much nicer then my last tent, I had a desk, a chair and even a locker for my clothes, I felt like I had checked into the Marriott again. After a few days we began get into a groove the week was going great. Our first time off of work we were able to travel to the Great Ziggurat of Ur which is one of the oldest structures in the world and has some amazing history behind it, if you get time you should google it, the place is fascinating (Photos posted on myspace.) This was definately a high part of my week, it was such a surreal experience to walk up the steps of a temple that people had walked up more then 4000 years ago. Heading back to base I began to really reflect on my life and think about how small and insignificant I am in the grand scheme of things.

The next exciting event for the week was a low point for me and brought to the surface some feelings and emotions that I didn’t expect. Being a bullrider I always felt that I am pretty brave and could stare death in the face and not think twice about it, boy was I wrong! I was walking down the street to drop off my clothes at the local laundary facility when I began hearing a very loud siren, I wasn’t sure exactly what the siren meant or what course of action I needed to take. After a few seconds I began to see military personal heading to an area called a bunker (basicaly a concrete cube surrounded by sandbags, these bunkers are all over the base and I had walked by them many times.) I decided the best idea for me was to follow and take shelter with everyone else.

As I entered the shelter the siren began again only this time it was followed by a very loud voice that kept repeating “We are under attack, We are under attack.” Hearing this is when I really began to feel uncomfortable. I squated down on the cold concrete and felt that my hands and knees had begun to shake, this was an unusual sensation that I don’t often feel. As the siren and voice stopped I just sat there waiting and wondering if the next sound I heard was going to be an explostion or gun fire, this was such a difficult and awkward feeling, something I hope I never have to endure again. Luckily and fortuneatly there was never an explostion or any sounds at all, in fact it was a deafining silence that I don’t think I will ever forget only broken up by a voice stating “all clear, all clear.”

Some of the best words I think I have ever heard being shouted from a speaker. All of the soldiers casually strolled from the bunker and returned to buisness as usual, this is a common occurance for them, I don’t know how they deal with this on a day to day basis, but I was not the same for several hours. I had to return to my tent and just sit for a long time, I had lost all ability to focus or concentrate on anything, my hands were still shaking and I felt my stomach turning. After all is said and done I was informed by several personal that it happens all the time and the chances of actually getting hit are very low, I guess in hind sight that makes me feel better, but at the time I was definately moved by the event.

That is all for now, it is time to get back to work. I will get more written down when I have the time. Right now I am going to finish some work and enjoy the beautiful sunday morning we are having today. God Bless all the military personal serving everywhere in the world to everyone else that reads this be thankfull for everything you have in your life.

Steven sent out his first update from Iraq! AND! He posted a BUNCH of pictures from Kuwait & Iraq. YEAH! That’s uber exciting because there aint much going on in BBLAND, aside from April & Michelle getting snubbed by Keesha on the radio (well, in our opinion anyway). Steven writes in his blog about his plane ride, going from riches (in Kuwait) to rags – if you will- in Iraq. He also talks about the weather, his eating/showering/sleeping arrangements (oobaby) and how he wants you to not only support the troops, but educate yourself about them. Links and pictures are in the second half. Cut in two just for you!

Hello to everyone back home or wherever you are in the world.
Had a few mintues and some working internet so I wanted to post a blog about some things that have been happening to me on the trip. I have so much to say and not even time to say it all.

Basically life has been a super crazy rollercoaster ride since I stepped foot on the plane over here. It all started with a 2 hour flight to Atlanta, then a 14 hour flight to Dubai, next a 2 hour flight to Kuwait city, 2 hours to get a Visa, an hour spent filling a report for my lost bag and a 30 minute ride to the hotel, it was a very long day!

Once in Kuwait it was all fancy and fun times, we stayed at a beautiful fancy hotel, J.W. Marriott, with great food and fantastic service. Spent two nights there then it was a 2 hour flight to Baghdad, this became the most unique and exciting part thus far.

The plane lands on the military side of Baghdad International Airport and we are instructed to exit the plane and wait on the tarmack, next is a very long walk with all my luggage to meet our point of contact, then wait in line to be given linens and assigned a tent. The first tent I had slept about 25 guys and was very close quarters, no room at all. We shower and use the bathroom in a trailer that is commonly known as “The Cadillac”, it really isn’t that bad at all.

Luckily it is winter here right now so the weather is very mild, about 70 during the day and 40 at night, that sounds like ideal weather, but the wind always blows, the sky is always overcast and filled with sand, so bascially it is sometimes hard to figure out where the ground ends and the sky begins. There is rarely any privacy here and it is so hard to get use to everything being surrounded by Twalls.

Twalls are giant concete slabs that are about 20 feet high, they surround every single structure, tent, bathroom or building here. It is really hard to figure you way around because all you see is Twalls in every direction, basically you are surround by grey and brown all the time.

The food is pretty good, we eat at what they call the Dfac (Dining Facility) there are lots of choices and the food is very high in calories and starches, I am already starting to get fat The first night was pretty hard to sleep, as I layed in my top bunk all I could hear was the sound of nonstop hellicoptors flying around and other guys snoring.

For the most part I feel completely safe all the time and I am having a great time. I have met some amazing Airman and Soldiers who live in these conditions day in and day out, I have completely gained a whole new respect for them and want to remind everyone at home to please help support our troops in anyway possible. They live and work in an environment that most Americans will never see, experience or could even understand.

PLEASE TAKE 1O MINTUES TO READ UP ON HOW YOU CAN HELP SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, I AM LISTING A COUPLE WEBSITES TO CHECK OUT, PLEASE DO THIS!!!
http://www.operation-support-our-troops.org/

That is all for now, more coming later, I am still trying to get my videos to upload but the internet is so slow and spotty that I can’t seem to get any of them to fully upload. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed!

Check out my pics, I got to ride in a C130….
Bye for now from the Middle East…
