Stephanie Calls Out James in EW Interview!
I’ve always liked her, and was never sure why others didn’t. This interview holds strong! She really explains herself towards James, calls him out, plus talks about her shoulder, her targets, and her being sequestered with Sugar in the Ponderosa house (poor Steph!). So, when exactly did the relationship with James start to go south?
Just back at camp, building the shelter and everything. There was a separation between people, even the way we slept in the shelter. It was me, Tom and Colby. There was Amanda, J.T., Rupert, and James. And it was kind of Cirie and Candice just floating. They were all kind of teaming up with each other and then Rupert became his way or no way. It just was really touchy, constantly. Rupert would talk about himself and things he had done and how famous he was, and James would chime in about all the free stuff he had gotten. It was just unbelievable. It was, like, embarrassing for them. And then we get to the challenge and J.T. is supposed to be the leader but then there comes a point where there’s silence because he’s not leading anymore because he’s totally stumped. And we’re like, okay, one voice, but what about when that one voice is stumped and isn’t right? So Candice kind of took over at one point in the challenge. It was never right. Our puzzle was never right. So then we get to the end and James was screaming, “You, just shut the f— up.” You know, I wasn’t the only one talking. We were all talking and trying to move forward.What happened when you all got back to camp?
So one thing led to another. There was fighting at the beach. Tom had it out with James, Colby had it out with James. They didn’t show that for time purposes or whatever. And then Tribal Council was way more than what you saw. Basically, James was just being really degrading and some lunatic bully. (more…)

BOSTON ROB ALMOST GOES HOME
Boston Rob is a stud. The dude can make fire without flint, he can single-handedly win a challenge for his tribe, he is always good for a memorable quip (“Again I’m on the buffoon tribe”) and… he married Amber. Not bad. But even Boston Rob cannot stomach the Samoa flu.
Turns out that’s all that was wrong with Rob, a bout of the local Samoan flu. But hear me when I say this was no ordinary flu. During the season it took out a lot of our crew members and a lot of the locals on the island. It hits the body very hard and according to our doctors, one of the worst parts was the accompanying headache which felt like a nail being repeatedly pounded into the back of your head.
INSIGHT: When the doctors and I first got to Rob at camp, he was flat out on his side. Flat out. He was shaking uncontrollably and he was slobbering from the mouth. I knew it was bad because Rob is not the kind of guy who ever complains about physical pain. He’ll complain about damn near everything else, but he’s pretty self-contained when it comes to pain. He was out of it. Before the docs diagnosed it as merely the flu, I thought he was going to have to be evacuated. I doubt Rob has any idea how bad it really was, I don’t think he remembers much of what happened.

Worst Strategic Move of the Episode Nominees
The Cowboys trading in their cash in LAX for Brazilian currency – In theory, swapping out currency ahead of time is not a bad idea. It could potentially save time while entering your destination country. There is just one key element to that choice: you must pick the right currency! Again, in theory this was a great idea – it just didn’t work out the way they planned. Brothers Dan and Jordan talking trash so much – In a game like this you really are left to your own devices. In Big Brother, it is pretty much a given that everyone is talking trash on everyone at some point, but in this game, talking trash seems to be the last thing you want to do. I would think that it would make the other teams be very cautious of you and maybe not want to help you. Although I have to admit, they did talk trash in an extremely humorous fashion!

I can’t tell much about the teams from the brief web bios, and I don’t want to prejudge anyone. But I am curious to see what kind of decision-makers Jeff and Jordan of Big Brother fame will prove to be. It’s one thing to be good at making strategic interpersonal decisions in the comfort of a gilded cage. It’s another to be able to make time-pressured, competitive decisions in completely foreign contexts. I’m very curious to see how they will fare, and I’m not singling them out because they beat my sister and me as “America’s Favorite Duo” in last year’s Fox Reality Channel Awards!

Wouldn’t you cry if you were about to have your head cut off?Let’s talk about your big topless scene. First off, was Sandra trying to undo your bra or did it just come undone in the, ahem, heat of the moment?
Unless we were making love, no. She totally undid it, and I literally said, “Don’t undo my bra, bitch!” I remember thinking, she thinks I’m going to put my bra back on and that she’s got me and just has to worry about them. So I was like, roll out of it, grab the bag and make the point. So that’s what I did because I wanted to prove that I was trying to win this time — that I was going to do my damndest in the challenges to prove myself. I thought that would work.Who exactly were you flipping off? Sandra? All the Villains? Jeff Probst?
I was looking at everybody. It was supposed to be toward Sandra, but I was kinda shooting everybody off. [Laughs] Yeah, I was totally flipping off Jeff. He knows it and he knows why.So the situation with Colby: They really made you out to be a stalker in that scene.
They want to make me look like Jerri No. 2. That’s fine with me. Yeah, that was like five seconds out of three days that I was there. That’s cool. I don’t mind my edit.
Jeff Probst Blog #1: The Premiere
It’s really freakin long, so I’ll keep this short and the rest under the cut OR you could head on over to EW.com and check it out! Much like Julie Chen, Jeff talks about his general insight, the first time at their new camps, the immunity challenge, tribal counsil and of course Sugar getting the BOOT!
We’re baaaaaack… and it feels so good! Might as well start at the beginning.
Last night’s two-hour premiere was one of our best ever. In fact, it was so good I think CBS should air it again. In the words of our fearless leader Mark Burnett, ”It was epic!”
It started with the kickass marooning where the Survivors landed on the beach courtesy of the Royal New Zealand Air Force and their Huey helicopters.
INSIGHT: We had to get special permission from the New Zealand government to get the use of the Huey’s and the Air Force personnel to fly them. We came to an agreement that allowed the RNZAF to use our rehearsals (without the real Survivors on board) as an opportunity to also practice various mission maneuvers for which they needed a location and situation to conduct them. It was a win-win.
If you watch it again you can see that when we did it for real with the Survivors on board and the Huey’s approaching the beach, it even resembles a mission. Two come in and land, sand flying around. They depart and the other two come in. It’s also worth mentioning that it went off without a hitch. Everybody hit their marks, it was magical.
