Day 26 Recap: Gnocchi á la Schlong

A recap of Day 26 provided by C5! Come back later today to watch the Day 26 highlights show!

Day 26 saw housemates trying to adjust to life without Lydia. Sure, she popped up in passing conversation. As housemates grapple to find their new roles within the House, we saw some friction between Sara and Becky, but they sat down to try to clear the air after last night’s events.

But we saw Deana express her discontent at the other fauxmance (Lushleigh), in defence of her admitting to Luke S that she’d prefer money to a lavish wedding. This ruffled a few feathers, but the housemates carried on as normal (bury the problem and it might rear its ugly head later..).

We looked at the Luke A / Luke S dynamic in the House. We also took the opportunity to look at Scott’s performance so far, asking the very important question: Is Scott more than a sheep?

Luke S and Ashleigh enjoyed their first ‘official’ date and FYI, paper roses are in !

But today was mainly about the humble spud. Yes, the veg that some of you were force-fed in a combo of gravy and carrots with a plastic spoon. Lauren, hailing from the VIP (very important potato) county, Jersey, was selected by Big Brother to oversee this culinary test between Luke A and Luke S, with sidekicks *ahem, we mean sous-chefs* Conor and Adam. You guessed it, it’s Potat-Off. Mash it, fry it, roast it, bash it.

Pro chef in real life Luke A was the winner, with his potato dish, ‘Gnocchi á la Schlong’. He and Lauren won a special al fresco dining experience, after which, they had a nice little bitch about the losing party Luke A, whose ”pretentious presentation” left a bitter taste in Luke A’s mouth.

Caroline and Becky speculated about insecurities in the House, and gaining special airtime on Big Brother.

And as we left the Digital office listening to proud Derryman Conor singing the Christy Moore air, ‘I Wish I Was Back Home In Derry’. Just another day in the Big Brother House.
